Well hello stranger!
Long time no post? Sorry everyone, this half term has been a none stop energy taker. I've been home for about three days now, but I'm honestly doing something everyday! But I'm back now, so you can all fold your hankies and put them back in your pocket, because I have a review/mini haul for you all. So in exactly 3 months and 9 days, I will be in Brittany (North France) on a school trip, and since I will be walking around a lot sightseeing and what not, I thought it would be the perfect excuse to get some new shoes. Now if you are a girl, you know you can never have enough shoes, it's impossible! So I needed some mega comfy, easy to slip on and off shoes that would go with everything, I asked around and a lot of you said either Vans or flip flops were the best answer. Now I have nothing against flip flops, but they just don't look very nice on me, and begin to look old very quickly.
So I went into Bank, because I saw they had a massive collection, and went through several pairs before I found the right one, now my normal shoe size is 4, but because vans are seriously huge on my feet I hate to go for the very tiny size 3. I tried all of them on and they are literally like you are walking on pillows. They are also really easy to slip into, since they are only pumps, but aren't the kinds that completely fly off your feet.
I just got some black ones, but they had so many colors and patterns to choose from. I know they have a lot of different kinds of vans, so I checked, and for people who want to know these are the 'Atwood Low black and white canvas' style. I think they are basically a thinner version of the original vans, and are a lot lighter on your feet. I find a lot of the ones I tried on were harder to walk in as they were very heavy and clunky.
It's quite funny because they look like baby shoes on this picture by the shape of them, but they are very easy to pair and look great on anyone. I'm pretty sure mine were uni-sex, but I don't really think they make a difference to the style or shape or anything.
They were £40 originally, but they were in the clearance sale for about £23!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you go and get your vans from here. x
P.S my blog birthday is in six days and I am over the moon it's almost been a year for me, you still have time to vote for me here for 'best teen blog' in the company style blog awards 2013, good luck to everyone else who is running and thanks for all your votes and support. :)
