What I'm Obsessing Over.. This Week: Part I (Lifestyle)

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all fit and well on this lovely Saturday! Today I thought I would share with you my monthly obessions, because who doesn't love them, right? Since I'm the kind of person who falls in love with things easily (when I say things I literally mean movies and handbags) I always go on the hunt for people who I can express my obsession with, I've actually got a friend called Gwennan and during our free time in french we like to discuss how pretty Harry Styles is, how we want to have Jamie Campbell Bower's legs, a lot of miley cyrus, and bands. But today I'm going to do something very special and share them with you, because you are basically family, and sometimes my parents get tired of me screaming and crying over fictional characters. (hey we can't all be neutrally perfect, can we?) So here's the latest of my obsessions... enjoy my pain.
So if you follow me on twitter you'll know that I'm quite obsessive over fictional characters, and I love a good fantasy movie series based on the books. I've read the Harry Potter's, The Hunger Games', and all that Jazz, so when The Mortal Instruments film came along, I tried to avoid it, since my little heart couldn't deal with yet another fantasy couple romance, but my friends seemed to lure me into watching it, and now I can admit I'm genuinely hooked *yet again*. I'm going to start reading the books now so I can really understand all the little bits in the movies that hint towards the books. If you haven't read the books or seen the film yet, firstly you should, it's quite amazing, and secondly I'm going to try and sum it up to you without giving to much away... here goes nothin' (goes on to imdb and copy and pastes the bio)

''When her mother disappears, Clary Fray learns that she descends from a line of warriors who protect our world from demons. She joins forces with others like her and heads into a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld.''

It's probably the best way to spend your friday nights whether alone or with someone, so I recommend you go see it or buy the film soon.

I know it changes probably every month, but I have a newfound love in my life, and that is Mr. Jamie Campbell Bower. He's the male lead for 'Mortal Instruments' so you can see why I love him. I never usually obsess over blondes, but there's just something about this bundle of joy that makes me adore him. I secretly love piercings on boys *ssshhh don't tell anyone* , and although he may look quite tough at first, as soon as you see him acting and in interviews, he's a real sweetheart. Unfortunately, he's a little bit older than me *coughs.. well 25* but one can still dream, can't she? He studied in the 'National youth theatre', which is where hopefully if this doesn't work out, my career will take me. He's also the sassiest person and he has some great one liners in the film.

'My hair is naturally Blonde for the record'
'If you wanted me to take my clothes off, you should've just asked'
'Don't tell me, you've got a drawing emergency and you need a nude model, well I'm not in the mood.'

So if those aren't going to tempt you to love him and his character, well I give up.

I'm really in love with wall quotes at the moment, and I think they are a great thing to put in anyone's room to describe that person's personality. I like all the book ones, and I hope when my room is done I'll have tones of them all over my walls, I'm also hoping for a tumblr like wall which will probably take a long time to develop, but when it gets there I will get very happy.
I just think these are so unique, and there are so many different quotes you can put on your wall, and you could also put one on your ceiling if you were feeling like you need something to motivate you each day. I've found these all from etsy, but you can also buy them on ebay probably, and other little online shops, they are quite expensive I think depending on where you buy them from, but they are worth every penny in my eyes!

So I hope you enjoyed this lifestyle post, and let me know if you're interested in more like these, I like writing them! x

  1. Yes, Anna - I love it!
I did like the movie and I thought that the actors fit the characters well, but the changes to the plot let it down. (Obviously) the books are better which you must read! The last on one in the series comes out in March! I definitely have a major girl crush on Lily Collins and her eyebrows - haha!

    P.S. I prefer Robert Sheehan ;)
